Incorporated as a limited company in 2004, Guarding South Africa (GSA) was born out of Justicia Investigations, which was founded in 1993.
It came about because of the recognition of the need for a total solutions partner in the security risk management environment.

The Group’s name “Symbiotix”is derived from the Greek word “symbiosis”, which translates as a “partnership for mutual benefit” and describes in a nutshell the company’s raison d’etre.

In embracing this concept of specialisation, GSA is driven to add real value to each client’s specific business, through its ability to advise, apply, manage and improve various in-house and outsourced specialist services.

The idiosyncrasies of the South African business environment demands that relevant solutions be sought for dynamic problems. Against this backdrop, management’s objective is to custom design a solution that draws on the traditional areas of expertise, but which simultaneously adds a strong intelligence gathering component.

With an operations team that has the experience and skill required to understand each client’s unique situation and assess which tools would be best suited to solving the problem, GSA is able to offer clients a complete and unbiased range of services to deal with their particular risk profile on a national level.

Whatever the circumstances, the GSA team has built on a foundation of honesty, integrity and impartiality and has strategically positioned itself to be able to service all the specialised security needs of a potential client, without being restricted by factors that drive most traditional security companies.
